needless to say i am still on a high from my results. but more than that i've had an awesome, if tiring, weekend.
on saturday i travelled to london where i window shopped with my drama friends and then went to see equus. yes the one with daniel radcliffe naked, he was an amazing actor, although we were all of the opinion that he wasn't as 'impressive' as we imagined, if you get what i mean hehe.
then cassie and i rushed back along regent street and oxford street (longer than you'd think) to try and get on the coach home asap since i was supposed to be at a choreography practice for the lift the label fashion show at 7pm. after a long trip and getting the bus home and grabbing 2 minutes to eat some food, i got to the practice at 8.30pm. stayed until 9.15 when i then had to go put the godzone kids to bed coz they were having a sleepover.
we of course did not throw them a midnight feast because there is a rule saying we can't and the adults are very insistant on this rule and there is no way in the world we would disobey them.....but hypothetically if we had i would tell you that the midnight feast was awesome!
i got about 2 hours sleep coz i couldn't get comfortable and it was sooooo cold. then i got up to have breakfast with the kids and pack their bags and play silly games with them. then we took them over for godzone (i was in charge of my small group this week too). luckily we didnt have to organize small group time coz the kids went into communion with their parents.
then my family and the challis' came back to our house to have pizza and watch the england rugby match (such a good game!). then at 5.45 i was back at church to rehearse for space together and set up a prayer zone.
the plan was for me, beth, pj and tom to do a drama where tom and pj burst into the room and dragged beth and myself out for being christians since the theme of the evening was the persecuted church.
however there were some non-church kids who turned up for the evening. i knew a couple of them from school and as much as i thought it was awesome they were interested, unfortunately prayer and the persecuted church wasn't exactly a light topic for your first taste of church.
i was very nervous about doing the drama because i didn't know how they would react but i just constantly was praying 'Lord whatever is in your plan' and it went really well. they didnt react badly, one of them even said 'was that real?'. once we got onto the prayer stuff they did leave but i trusted God with the drama and it went well :) i learnt a big lesson in trusting Him.
so yeah it was a long weekend. even pete harvey was like 'where's normal bubbly sarah? i want her back!' coz by sunday evening i was so out of it.
i sympathize for those who did the godzone party coz that took alot of energy. i wish i could've been there but i had to go see the play for theatre studies and like i've said before, it takes a different kind of energy to travel and then sit through a 3 hour play than it does to entertain kids. not any more energy or any less, just means everyone is very tired.
had a good day at school though, lots of drama practice! andrea (my drama teacher) said last week i had the patience of a saint because cassie wasnt there and i was left with just maya- a girl in my class who has problems with spacial awareness and also very blocked up ears. i feel bad for her coz she tries but she's rubbish at drama. it'd be ok if she was just a bad actress but she messes up lines and forgets movement and cues and so brings down me and cassie too. normally cassie and i can help each other get through the lessons coz we know each other so well and can sense when the other person is getting annoyed or whatever. but without cassie there, it was so difficult. i sent cassie a load of txts saying 'i hate you for leaving me' hehe.
got a bit of a lie-in tomorrow but i feel bad coz my brother's just told me he has to be at school for 6.30 tomorrow for rowing training (he's got a regatta on thursday which i think is a very important race lol). so i get an extra 4 hours sleep...i feel very bad :(
alrighty so this was a very very long post but i needed to let out everything that happened last weekend.
much love xxxxxxxx
p.s. my theatre practical exam is a week on thursday...we aren't ready and i'm terrified!!!

awww, you wrote a massive post just like me!
peter wrote a tiny one, which obviously means that he didn't do as much as we did, so he can't be as tired.
i do believe you are as tired as me, despite what i said yesterday.
thanks for helping with the sleepover, we all loved you being there.
and i feel sorry for you not getting much sleep, compared to my toasty sofa.
My post was short as I didn't have time to write a longer post. I also didn't see much point going in to too muchdetail as I knew one of you two would.
I am sure you feel really guilty about your brother's lack of sleep in comparison with you.
i honestly do. i thought i'd be like 'hahaha in your face' but i did feel bad :(
Equus must have been ... educational. Would you say it's a big part?
actually i would have to say my friends and i all thought it was a smaller part than we expected.
aside from that the play itself was amazing. richard griffiths had a chest infection but still went on stage!
Ahh your equus review and hypothetical midnight feast both made me laugh X)
I'm helping to lead a weekend away for the clusters kids this weekend, oh pray for me pray for me please...
oooh anna i'm praying for you muchly :)
