serious stress

so my Human Growth & Development poster presentation is on monday...as in this coming monday...as in 6 days away!
and I'm stressing myself out
at the beginning I was like 'great! a poster! I can do posters! I like posters! this'll be a breeze!'
how foolish I was
I forgot that I'm a worrier
and entirely self-critical
and that it wouldn't just be my poster I'd have to worry about
there's about 40 other posters that are being made
posters that are printed not cut & pasted like mine
posters that have lots of diagrams
posters that have lots of pictures
posters that are finished already
posters with references not on the poster
posters that have less writing
posters that have more writing

you get the picture...
and now I'm stressing
I'm stressing BIG!
and even though I know that these things aren't things I'll fail on, and that I should be confident in my own ability to make a poster...it doesn't stop me stressing.
do I have enough references?
do I have the right references?
Is my poster the right way up?
should I write more?
should I add more pictures/diagrams?
how can I make mine the bestest poster there ever was???

which is silly, coz I don't even want the 'best' poster...I just want a good poster. a poster that reflects my ability. a poster that gets me a grade that means I've passed.

I just need to stop stressing, which is easier said than done.
(oh and don't get me started on the abstract and bibliography we have to do too!)

So you see people, in 3 weeks I'll be done...unfortunately the next 3 weeks are going to be filled of these stressful, never-ending, nightmare-inducing, irrational, horrible questions.

I'm going to bed and am hoping my brain will shut off and I can get some sleep!
Much love xxx

On project posters we get told that a poster should take about 10minutes to read. So not too much writing and diagrams need captions that clearly describe what they show. References normally go at the bottom right of posters and should be included. Not sure what else to say, but make it stand out! Hope that helps

the 10 minutes thing is very useful...gives me a good scope for how much writing. thankyou!

Hey Sarah, I'll praying for you the next 3 weeks. Let me know if there's anything really specific you'd like prayer for.
Hope you're feeling a little less stressed today xxxxx
