rollercoaster

alright so it's been a week since I last wrote in my blog, sorry for that, things have been a little hectic over the weekend.
Basically last thursday my Grandma went into hospital, Dad rushed over to see her- just to find out that she's ok! She came out of hospital the next day, she'd had one of her 'turns' which she has alot and it was nothing more than that. But still a day full of worrying about what was happening. Dad stayed for the weekend coz he was planning to anyway. And then Sunday morning Grandpa was taken into hospital- shortness of breath and tight chest which turned out to be lungs collapsing...slightly more serious. They are treating him for it but since they can't treat the cancer anymore really, there's only so much they can do to make him better so we're waiting to see what's happening. Dad came back last night and we're just waiting to hear what the hospital decide to do next.

To sum it up: we're back on the rollercoaster.
for the last year we've been on this rollercoaster with my grandparents, sometimes there are little loops, sometimes there are big loops, but it seems never-ending. and it's difficult to know how to react or what to do when the loops come along.

In other news I'm enjoying my 4 month summer holiday :)
I had a work shift booked for last wednesday but tuesday night I just crashed and fortunately when I rang up to see if anyone could cover it for me they told me that a child had cancelled so they were over-staffed anyway. So I didn't work.
I'm planning to go in tomorrow and book a few shifts in. To be honest I thought I would work loads and loads once I finished but I'm not feeling it. I do enjoy work mostly and I will do some shifts. But I really just want time to recharge and relax and see friends and stuff like that.
So that's what I'm planning to do.
And yes I'll have days like today when I haven't really got anything to do, and it's verging on boredom, but I'd take that over stressed out assignment days!
I think it's about booking fun things in to do and finding jobs or projects that I can do that are enjoyable and don't feel like work.

I think that's all I have to say today. Coming up this week:
-tomorrow I'm taking Mum to the eye hospital coz she's got this red spot in her eye that could either be nothing or could be the signal of a detaching retina...nothing too serious(!)
-wednesday I have not alot happening
-thursday Little Miss Ross and Older Mister Ross are staying over with us, which should be fun...Little Miss Ross is my gorgeous god-sister who I adore, she's like a substitute little sister (she's 9) and I saw her loads last weekend and it reminded me how much fun I have with her.
-friday afternoon I might be driving PJ down to NatSchools (National School Rowing Competition or something) coz he has an exam in the morning but wants to make it down to see his teams row (the ones he coaches) so hopefully we can make that happen.
-saturday is the Uni end of year ball :D which should be good fun. Dina and I are getting our hair done in the afternoon and then getting ready together. it looks like it's going to be a good night :)

That's the most of what I'm up to this week :)
I think I'm done, updated you on the last week, given you my current thoughts of the day, and looked ahead to the coming week....not very interesting sorry!
Much love xxx
