So we've finished the weekend...and I am so tired!
I was foolish to work a late shift the night before too.
Here are my observations on the weekend:
-28 children is really quite alot of children
-jacket potatoes are a good lunch choice
-duncan isn't very good at potato flipping...but is quite good at floor cleaning races
-diet coke was a smart thing to bring as a hidden supply
-treasure hunts as wide games are always a good idea!
-I forgot how good 'guess who?' was as a board game (for those who are interested, I'm better at guess who than duncan!)
-adding another 50 kids for a party in the afternoon was fun but very very tiring
-church parents always make good food for parties
-sneaking out to buy 'expensive milk' never grows old
-wall-e is a good film, although I only saw half of it
-8pm is about the sort of time that your body starts to ache when you're this tired
-getting 14 girls to go to sleep still takes alot of time...not helped by the drinking of the 'expensive milk'
-doing a sleepover on a weekend when the clocks go forward isn't always the best idea
-going to Godzone in the morning after you haven't been in months is definitely amazingly fun
-little girls who cling on and hug you alot will always be cute
-I love doing actions :)
-sofas always feel softer when you've been at church for 25 hours looking after 28 children
for those who aren't aware 'expensive milk' is code for something that we aren't supposed to have but do have :) something that occurs around 12 at night...
I'm going to go eat a doughtnut, I need the sugar!
Much love xxx
